putting my money where my homelab is…

Well, after several years of paying a provider to host my websites, it’s time to eat my own dog food and put my money where my homelab is.

In reality, the renewal price for the plan I’ve enjoyed for the past decade-plus jumped from about 4 dollars per month to around 15 dollars per month, and they were going to start billing email accounts by the inbox.

Buh-bye! I’m sorry, but my websites aren’t that popular. I love you all, but let’s face it, we aren’t breaking any records here. 🙂

On the bright side, I found a really neat looking email provider that charges a reasonable price and has great services so far that are continually improving. I’ll spend some more time with them before I make some recommendations.

The rest of this stuff is running in my lab now, so we’ll see how it goes. If all of a sudden my goofy little corner of the web exceeds the capabilities of my lab, there’s always AWS, haha.
